  3.                     INTRODUCTION TO BATCH MENUING via CHOOSE

  5.   CHOOSE provides  an  easy to use,  yet powerful,  means of  menu  controlled
  6.   branching within the AUTOEXEC or other BATCH stream.
  7.  
  8.   A system administrator  can use CHOOSE to organize a complex DOS environment
  9.   so that users of the system may run programs under the proper directories by
  10.   simply making menu selections  --  that is, without an understanding, or the
  11.   keying, of long input strings, e.g., CD\DOCS\BUSINESS\SALES ...

  13.   This text is being displayed as a result of a "TYPE MM_INT.SDX" command that
  14.   has been executed  from the  batch file  MENU.BAT  as a result of making the
  15.   first selection on the main menu.
  16.  
  17.   A significant difference between this  demonstration batch file  and a batch
  18.   file that you might create to streamline and organize actual productive work
  19.   is that this batch file executes commands like "TYPE" and "DIR" where your's
  20.   might  change drives and directories,  copy files,  download fonts,  and run
  21.   programs such as Windows, WordPerfect and 1-2-3.
